I was wondering if anyone knows if I have buy Zbrush and the backup disc together. Can I buy the backup disc from pixologic and buy Zbrush from Novedge? Thanks
You could go digital download through a retailer and purchase the backup disk from the Pixologic store. I would not recommend that option, though. The disks are ZBrush 4R7 as they were manufactured right after launch. They don’t have Patch 3, meaning that you’d still need to update (before activating).
The download that you get from going the digital route (either through Pixologic or a retailer) is 4R7 P3 from the outset. No need to update. So you’re actually best off making your own backup, such as by copying the installer to a cheap USB stick. It’ll cost less, too.
