ZBrush 4r8 Dynameshing is Very Strange

So when I re-dynameshed a cylinder at Resolution 16, it created way too many polygons than I wanted, this makes it harder for me to sculpt the basic shape. I always want to start out low poly, but with this new dynamesh in zbrush 4r8, I am unable to. I even made sure that I don’t have Subdivision Level on or Dynamic Subdiv turned on. Anyone run across this problem and how to fix it?

Probably your model is very large. Dynamesh resolution depends on scale. If the size of your model is not critical, you could press Tool>Deformation>Unify and try Dynameshing again.
