Zbrush 4R7 Surface Noise Crash - Repeatable CRASH everytime.

Not sure if this is where I should be submitting bugs but I’m getting a repeatable crash everytime I try to access the Surface>Noise feature in zbrush.

I can add lightbox noise to my object but it will also crash evertyime I click the Edit button to edit the noise.

It has never worked for me in 4r7. So I finally updated the the Version 3 Patch. Same crash is still happening.

If I can get any more information for you please let me know.

Windows 7 64-bit.
Using 64 Bit Zbrush application.

This started happening to me once in Win 7 after an update in which I used the Auto update feature, rather than a stand alone install. With the help of Support, I fixed it by completely deactiviating and uninstalling Zbrush, deleting the entire version folder, then reinstalling with an up to date stand alone installer.

If you do this, make sure to follow the installation directions closely, and pay special attention to things like disabling any antivirus software during the procedure, and make sure to install as an Administrator.

If this doesn’t work, or if you’d be more comfortable following official instructions on the procedure, you will have to submit a Support ticket.
