Zbrush 4R4 curropted a file

I started a piece about 2 weeks ago with R3 and continued it with R4 one week ago. Yesterday I worked all day on the same subtool. I also added 3 ztools and deleted 2 of them. I saved my saved at the end of the day and left Zbrush opened over-night. This morning I came back to find my Zbrush crashed because of a memory problem. Upon trying to reopen the ZPR file I got a bunch of error (see attachment)

My file is about 700mb so it’s not huge and it is composed of 2 ztools with about 8 subtools each and both ztools were started in R3.

Does somebody have an idea which it got corrupted? I just don’t want to lose another day at work.

If you open up a file of an older version of ZBrush, it might be good practice to first save out a new copy of that file with Z4R4 before you change anything. If you want to be sure that all is fine you might want to close and restart ZBrush and reload the newly saved file. Continue to make incremental saves every so many minutes. Yesterday, I made the mistake of overwriting a file a few times instead of making incremental saves and it got corrupted… hth
