ZBrush 3D information transfer to Production

Hi All,
I am new to ZBrush, am looking for a 3D software for my product design work. Would appreciate if someone can answer my query. Can a product design created in ZBrush be in actual size? Can the product design and its information be transfer out of ZBrush and into a format that can be used for mould production.

I maybe wrong here but…i think i read Weta (lord of the rings folks) used in in the last instead of working up models then digitizing…so one would think if they are that good…they can be made. Also a company that offers to make sculptures from your 3d objects comes here regularly to advertise their contests to win a free real 3d work up of their objects…so I would think yeah.

there is also a thread somewhere from a guy who wanted to use…1.55…and future 2.0 versions to help design and carve wood…if I remember right he found a bit of success in that…still using 1.55 I don’t think we have heard from him since 2.0 came out…but I reckon if he got it…he might still be on the moon about the level of detail he can now model into is work.

i’d say yes and no.
Yes, just about any 3d model can be turned into a mold, if exported from the right package.
No, because Zbrush doesn’t support world units. (in, cm)
So I’m sure a zBrush object exported to the right software can do it, but not directly from ZBrush.

I’d say ZBrush is definately the WRONG package for this, download the demo and see for your self
