ZBrush 2021 Deryck Beta Tests

I had the pleasure of participating in the ZBrush 2021 Beta, which was an incredible experience, I am super happy.
This new dynamic is incredible, all the new features are awesome!
I had the privilege of testing all these new features beforehand.
And I would like to share some studies that I did during this period.
I can’t wait to see the incredible things the community is going to do with these new tools.

This piece is called The Cloth Bender
My idea with this piece is to convey how it felt to use ZBrush now that we have clothing simulation.
I felt like an airbender during this beta, but in this case a clothesbender :sweat_smile:
For that reason I put this piece of fabric, bending around the character, which is in a pose that I like to call the “Z” pose :wink:, which keeps him in perfect balance.
I looked for martial arts references to make this piece.
But my main reference is the actor Donnie Yen, known for films like Ip Man.
I love martial arts movies, so it was really fun for me to sculpt this model.
For texture and render I used substance painter, my idea here is to replicate what I like about Richard Macdonald’s sculptures
I used the movie recorder to record the process and make a quick time lapse.

@Melissa Thank you :blush:
I also really love this pose
Usually when I’m sculpting I try to replicate the pose to feel the weight of the movement.
I couldn’t stay in this position for even 5 seconds, :rofl:

@Jaime Muito obrigado! And I loved participating, count me in whenever you need, I’ll do my best :blush:

@Spyndel Thank you :blush:
I tried as hard as I could to get this effect to be 360 degrees.
I love making pieces that can be seen from many different angles.

Lovely !!
