Recently I found after I opened 4R8 ZTL in ZBrush 2019, when I slide through the subtools list, the ZBrush 2019 crashed. If I opened the 4R8 ZTL file and saved the file in ZBrush 2019 into a new ZTL, the same issue happened. Is it just me? Any solutions? I thought the ZBrush 2019 could open and sculpt on the old ZTL file with no problems. And, I don’t remember I got this issue previously.
And if I use 4R8 to open those 4R8 ZTL files, I can slide through the subtool list with no problems.
Hello @NGY2018TS
Sorry you’re having some trouble. I’ve seen other users report the “crashing while scrolling through subtools” issue, but don’t know what it’s related to at this time.
One tip–make sure you’re letting the program load fully before trying to scroll through the subtools. ZBrush 2019 works a bit differently at startup, and rushing things can cause issues.
Otherwise, if you have a repeatable issue with a file, you should make a Support ticket and send them the file, and the steps used to repeat the issue. Be sure to have the most up to date version of Zbrush–currently 2019.1.2–before reporting issues.
Hi @SPYNDEL,
Thanks for the reply, I upgraded the ZBrush to its latest 2019.1.2 version and the issue still happens. I want to tell you something that I just found. I did notice that if I scrolled through subtools very slowly, it worked fine, but once I started to scroll faster, ZBrush freezed and the whole program closed itself just like before.
And if I used the keyboard to scroll through the subtools, there were no issues.
