Hi Souleat
Normal it’s a beta Version of a Beta tester
1.999 is very near 2.0

Why thank you Reactor. I was given limitations for writing that. Less than 1500 words and they wanted a recap of features as well as my personal experiences. 1500 words doesn’t go very far I am afraid especially considering the 2.0 Preview released by Pixologic is comprised of some 40+ pages of material. And yes I was working with beta 1.999r4 I too have to wait for the official release of 2.0  BTW all the images shown in the article are my own.

Personally, I think given the space restrictions you faced, you did a good job Lonnie… :+1:
Since I am not given to turning computer software into ‘religious artifacts’, when I read a review, I want the sort of observations you raised, rather than a fawning ‘tribute’ with no intellectual content. Also, you had to talk to people who theoretically haven’t used the program, and you did that clearly…
So, nice job Lonnie. :sunglasses:

Well, I was expecting more, but considering your limits you did an excellent job

Excellent!

Thanks for the review Lonnie! I especially liked your screenshots of your model. The Zspheres looked very nice, and the low-mid-high screenshot looks to become my most used new Z2 feature.

One can only hope you have a zscript or two waiting for the Z2 release. You are truly masterful at your art, and I know I can learn a thing or twelve from you.

Thanks once again!

M7,

Very nice summary - essentially a quick sketch of a very complex subject. But, frankly, the models speak louder than the words! Beautiful stuff.

Good work! Sven

I agree, considering the restraints imposed you wrote an excellent article. And here I didn’t think it was possible to get any more excited about Z2! I think I’m about to explode lol.

I was under the impression Zbrush 2 would have some kind of animation capability since seeing that running dinosaur by Pixolator - or is that exported from zbrush and animated in another program?

It was done using a zscript developed by Pix. That will be released after the Mac version is out. But don’t be expecting IK or FK or anything as advanced as that.

BTW I like the review “Guru Lonnie”
I especially like the detail of the skin/wrinkles on your models. I never know how that’s done with such detail.

Thanks Ken. Lol Guru…that wasn’t my doing. The editor put that in. I tend to think of myself more along the lines of being artistically challenged.

Congrats Lonnie…reading it right now.
