It does, however, contain the DVD-style case in which you can keep a backup CD if you already have one. (Note: It is not possible to order a backup CD, except at time of original ZBrush purchase. You will, however, be able to order a backup CD of ZBrush 2.5 when you upgrade.)

If you are an existing ZBrush user and wish to purchase the Box-Only option, [click here](http://pixologic.com/order/purchaseboxonly.html).

Pixologic is constantly supprising me with the degree of ā€œsmartsā€ used in promoting the product, supporting the customer base, and, of course, the development of the software.

More companies should learn from the way you guys do business.

Having just tried to order the boxed set as an existing customer, I was dissapointed to receive the message informing me that due to legal reasons this product may not be shipped to the UK. :frowning:

TBA means ā€œTo Be Announcedā€

Czes Pachela: We currently have boxed sets in transit to the European distribution center. When they arrive, you will then be able to order as well.

awesome, i definately will be getting my box only set later today or tomorrow.

Also, who came up with that red abstract imagery that’s on the box and that’s been on the cover of recent zbrush event promos? aurick or pix?

I like it a lot. I’d like a to see a nice hi-res shot of it, if possible.

I tried to order but it won;t allo wme to order ('m in Thailand) :frowning:

Thanks

Hey abxy -

I was lucky enough to get to design the package for the Zbrush box, I’m glad that you like it! I have a little bit more information with concept images and what-not on my website. There is also a higher resolution image there as well.

It is nice to have that printed practical guide nowl.

How can I not buy the box now I know Meats designed it!!!

Looks awesome MM & nice one Pixologic…

Can we have ZBrush caps & T’s next…

PS: While I’m here, is there any way us normal folk can get a hold of those Siggraph posters (signed if possible… )???

Hi aurick,

Please can you adivise who the European distributor is and their contact details.

many thanks, Eddie :+1:

Hi there … Why not ship to Europe?

ā€œUnfortunately, due to legal constraints, we cannot ship the product to the country you have chosen.ā€

Maybe theres some legal mumbo jumbo I don’t understand but all thats sent is basicly a book a couple pamphlets and an empty DVD case. I would’nt mind an explanation.

A quick edit. I just noticed, there a price for US dollars and Euros. Confused.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS Just ordered 8-).

But I had the same problems when I ordered the license in April. The fullfillment service simply stinks. They should change to the Plimus! Safe, and actually with customer service.

Can’t wait to put that Box next to my XSI Box. Color and Design Coordinated :D:D:D

Wow, it’s really cool to see all the concepts you went through before you came to the final imagery. Evolution without words. :+1: I love it!

not to hi-jack the thread, but since we do that have the box art artist here…9 feet tall? how is that possible? how’d you get a printed version of the art work out of Z and that big (and still looking good and non-pixelated)?

I’m having no luck ordering…

1: Because I don’t remember my login details & the system can’t find them either…

2: Because I have a Hotmail account which you say is invalid because it’s free, I say it costs me Ā£25 a year to have this account, it’s not the free one…

3: How do I get my empty box…

4: Aurick, help!!!

Buckie, open a www.mac.com account which is free for 60days. It enabled me to buy Zbrush in the first time. I also have paid gmx.net account which is being discriminated as ā€˜free hooligan account’…

Reminds me that I should appologize again for blowing up and having a seizure about that service in April… Poor Aurick 8-}. But it seems things changed little on the customer purchase front (turning knife in wound…).

Cheers
Lemo

hi Buckie,

you’ll probably get an answer quicker if you email Pixologic support directly. Aurick is busy and can’t always check all threads all the time so you’ll get some answers faster that way.

and try what lemmo said.

Once again: Boxes are in transit to Europe. Customs officials have no way of knowing whether a box has a CD in it or not. In fact, they’d probably think it strange to be sending a box without the CD. As soon as the boxes reach Element 5’s distribution center in Germany, the boxes will be able to be ordered in Europe as well. I’d say to try again in a week or so – we don’t have any control over the shipping lanes, so can’t give much of an estimate in that respect. As for the rest of the world, it will most likely be on a country-by-country basis. Some nations are very strict about imports, and some aren’t.

We have quite a few resellers throughout the world. See here. Some of them already have the boxed version, and the rest will be receiving it soon. They only have the complete set with CD, however. For the box-only set, you need to wait for them to reach Germany (see above).

Believe it or not, the image was created at 2400x2400. There are ways to successfully upsample an image. For example, there’s a Photoshop plugin called Genuind Fractals that I hear does a pretty amazing job. You can also upsample the image in Photoshop itself a small percentage at a time (Actions work nicely for this). You’ll be surprised how far you can go before the image degrades to where it’s no longer printable.

1: If you contact Element 5 directly, they should be able to locate your account information. In the US, the number to call is 800-406-4966. Overseas, it’s +49-221-31088-30 (but the boxes are still enroute to Europe).

2: On the page that says you can’t order because of the freemail account, there is also a link about why. Element 5 does provide a way to get around it, and that page says how. Or follow Lemmonado’s suggestion. Or use a friend’s email account and then change the email address with E5 after the purchase is complete.

Some companies used to have free accounts before switching to paid accounts. Some companies (like Hotmail) have both free and paid for accounts. Unfortunately, there is no way to tell which accounts are free for a particular domain and which are not. That means that if some accounts for a particular domain are free, the system has to assume that any account could be free.

Why does it matter? Because ID theft is a HUGE problem today, and the freemail accounts are ultimately untraceable. Someone could steal your personal information and then masquerade as you with a freemail account to purchase all sorts of expensive stuff. The only way to protect against such fraud is by not allowing freemail accounts to be used.
