Am I meant to overwrite the Directory so that the new folders are inside the old 4 folder so they combine & what’s in there is overwritten/updated or should I be left with two folders in the root Directory - 4 & 4r2.
Apologises if this is posted in wrong place.
The download link is for an archived installer .exe. Just extract the installer, and run it. You don’t have to do anything to Zbrush 4. You should not deactivate Zb4, nor have to uninstall it. R2 installs alongside ZB4.
Detailed instructions should have come with your download link.
Thanks - I thought as much. I already had them running side by side & thought that was the case was just a little disturbed at the lack of brushes available when I opened it & paniced a bit - found the brushes are there just hidden in folders - guessing I’m going to have to some housekeeping in the directory before I get going. Thanks for the quick reply.
They cleaned up some of the bloat in the main brush menu. Brushes youre looking for are probably available in the Lightbox menus.
As Scott says (thanks Scott ), ZBrush 4R2 is a separate install. You should not uninstall or deactivate ZBrush 4, and you will still be able to run it after installing R2 (but not at the same time as R2 because of resource conflicts).
The Brush palette has been reorganized and any brushes no longer there are now available through Lightbox, which has also been organized so that different brush types are in different folders.
