zappLink not opening document in photoshop

so i’m in zbrush and i go to document>zapplink>drop…photoshop opens up, but the temp doc that usually opens up w/ the dropped canvas doesn’t open up…
i tried intializing zbrush…re dropping my tool…adding a new texture(2048x2048) and then using zapplink…but still, nothing opens up in photoshop…if anyone has any clue as to what could be causing this, it would be greatly appreciated…thanks

btw…i’m using zb 3.1 and psCS3 extended
pc specs:
os, vista ultimate 64-bit
cpu, intel quad-core 2.4ghz
hd, 1tb
gpu, 2 nvidia g-force 8800gt

ah…i just did another search and found a similar thread w/ the same problem…problem was solved running zbrush as adminstrator…thank you for that marcus :smiley: …does anyone know why that is…i’d just like to better understand what causes that problem in the first place…

I’m running the 32 bit version of your system, but a 8500gt card
instead I got the same problem. and I can’t run Zbrush in Adimn mode as it asks for my serial Number to activate but it’s already in use so it says can’t do it. So I’m screwed either way

i’m not quite sure…running zbrush as the admin seemed to fix the problem for me…i then had trouble saving the zapplink file so i set photoshopcs3 to run as admin also…it never asked me for a serial to activate zbrush…i’m not sure i know why its not working for you…sorry…i wish i could be more helpful…

To run in admin mode: Be logged into the account from which you run ZBrush. Browse to the ZBrush 3 folder. Right-click on the ZBrush3.exe and choose “Run as Administrator” from the context menu.
