Z-Sword - Templar warrior sword

Well, heres my new work. I Hope I can achieve the quality I have in mind…
Its always a bit frigthening to start a new project…

A medieval engraved templar sword.
Its zsphere based, reuved in maya, for best texture and displacement use, and sculpted in high res in zbrush.
I hope have a good repartition of polys for best details…

I would leave the line. When you drop forge things, such a line exists. Blade and ‘handle’ usually do not have the same material. I would slightly change one or the other material. And of course, the blade must be ‘etched’ :D.

This looks already fantastic. How many poly’s?

Cheers

Ok pilou! If thats engraving you want, I’ll give you, dont worry, just be patient and I think you will be satified
Lemonnado : I would like to erase this seam line because its not on the real one, and it show too much the symetrical axe, but my model is so high def thats smooth doesnt work well…
I dont have the polycount now, I will tell you next time, but this is actually the most heavy object I ever sculpt with my mystic. To give you an idea, I Think I have 9 levels of details…
I try to work in projection master as often as I can to keep the work as flowly as possible…
Polycount is 2 752 512 polys, 8 subdiv levels

Nice Sword model. I like the engraving you have done…very nice
