z sphere rigging q?'s (answered)

Guys

I have been playing around with rigging using zspheres and I have a few questions for a few problems Im encountering.

  1. once I have placed a zsphere in my rig, how do I delete it if I want to later?

  2. Is there any way of keeping a hard edged sub tool as a solid object? can I rotate and move it without it deforming in anyway using zrigs in transpose master? at the moment there always seems to be some stretching.

  3. how do I save the rigged model so that I can work on it outside of transpose master, then reload it for further tweeking?

thanks

These two video tutorials may help you with those inquiries.

Part 1 is rigging without subtools:

Good Luck

Ive already watched those, and although they are good they dont address either of these two questions… thanks anyway

  1. In Draw mode, hold Alt and click on the ZSphere.

  2. There’s no way to stop it deforming if you are using the rig to move it. For hard surface objects that don’t confirm to the body it is probably better to pose them separately using move and rotate on the whole mesh.

  3. You can export/import an OBJ, or GoZ should work though I haven’t tested that particular scenario. If you want to use the Transpose Master rig during a later ZBrush session be sure to save the Transpose Master project.
