z-project with texture ?

Hello friends !

Today, again I made a test with z-project and a texutre map.
So, I do have my basic mesh, and a texture mapped on a 3Dplane.

I use the Transpose mode and ZProject to paint my mesh with the texture from my 3DPlane. It works fine, the I can paint the texture directly on my mesh.

But what I don’t understand.
Where will be saved the texture map ?

I was looking to find my painting under the textures, but can’t find… ufff…
will my painting not be saved anywhere ?
I don’t understand this…

thx for every little help

What you’ve been doing is a form of polypainting. To export a texture map you need to bake the polypainting into a map using the Col>Txr button in the Tool:Texture submenu. See the Baking PolyPainting into a Texture Map section at the bottom of this page:
http://www.zbrush.info/docs/index.php/Polypainting

thank you that makes sense now, it works good.

But one more question to z-project with texture:
Is it possible to have a camera view, well, like a ortographic view ?

Well, I would like ot use a texture map, that was done from front view, so the face is from the front - and I’ve tried to match a head as a test object, but I am not capable of to match the photo and the 3d mesh on the canvas…

I see, that there is a distortion, like a specific Field of view, or lens…
and so I can’t match it …

hmm, is ther any way to do that ?

Or also, maybe the image I use has a distortion on it, maybe there is a way to match that, opposite way…

any suggestion welcome,
thx a lot,
