You dont get if you dont ask. lol.

Dont laugh. hehe.

Well I have just won Amapi Designer 7 and wondered (however unlikely) if anyone fancied doing a swap (or even if its possible as there is no hard copy of zbrush) for zbrush.

Boxed, I assume sealed (as Eovia will be sending it out in the next week to me) and ready to repost as soon as it arrives.

If you are wondering why, well I have always wanted zbrush.

Cheers and living in hope.

I don’t think that is legal, though you would have to check with Pixologic. There would have to be at least a transfer of license.

Yup. I would expect that. Thats what I meant by if its possible. Dont quite know how it could be done with no real purchase (I know what I mean lol) of Zbrush physically.

I use a product called 3D GameStudio. Like most software, when you purchase 3D GameStudio you don’t own the software. Instead, you license the right to use it. If you sell or give the software to someone else you need to contact the owners of the license (Conitec owns 3D GameStudio) and officially transfer the license to the other person.

I suspect this is what would have to happen here. Someone who has legally licensed ZBrush2 would have to contact Pixologic and transfer their license to you. Pixologic would then have to revoke the original key/serial and then issue you one.

Some companies do not allow this. I may be wrong, but I believe that Discreet, the makers of 3D Studio MAX, do not allow the transfer of a license of MAX from one owner to another.

Yup. Even copies of 3dsmax that have never been registered cant be transferred. It has to be bought from an authorized dealer. Pathetic really but understandable in some ways.

Its all conjecture at the moment as unless someone is willing to do a swap then there is no problem at the moment. lol.

I just thought I would try as Zbrush is one of those apps I have wanted for a long time but as you know Dan money is always the issue with me. I have two very good modellers now in their own ways and Zbrush would just add to the arsenal and open up new possibilities for me.

I am going to contact Conitec!

This is great news, Hopefully I can re-sell this 3D Game studio license.

I will sell my 200$ commercial license for $10 to the first bidder if it is legal.(price is negotiable, please make offer, $10 might be a little bit too high)

I am going to make sure first… Thanks for the information.

I will give away my 3D Game studio license if it is possible …

Ok. Update. How about swapping your Zbrush for Trusespace 6.6 Boxed with manual. DEpak, FXpak, Raypak, pluspak1 and 2, Flash for Truespace and Conversion pack 2.1.

Most of the Truespace Video Tutorials and loads of other bits and pieces.

Any takers? lol. (You will need to find out if the licence can be transferred to me. I already know that the TS licence and stuff can be transferred easily.)

Cheers

Hahaha Mykyl, I don’t know about anyone else but you would have to pry Z2 from my cold dead fingers before I gave it up!!

You might have better luck selling what ya got on ebay (that can be legally transferred or whatever) and using the proceeds towards purchasing Z2. Just a thought.

yea, you would be better off trying to sell it outright to some victom, and then come and purchase Zbrush 2…

I would never trade my Z2 for ANYTHING!!!

Good luck on your quest for Z2

If it’s sealed and unregistered, sell it on eBay. Then use the money to buy Z2.
That’s the only way!

Hi Mike,

Good luck with the wheeling and dealing.
But looks like you might have to wait for the ZB2 demo, then save up the pennies or win another competition!

Alan

Saving up for Z2 is not an option. lol. Wish it was. Apart from the fact I dont class Zbrush as worth its current cost with the extra VAT I would have to pay for a download. If it was on CD with a printed manual then thats a different matter.

It doesnt really matter as at some point I will get time to use TS. Just cant be bothered for now. lol.

Cheers Mike R

ill trade my atari for your Amapi, strait up
