I ran across a link to the toy blog that Yoshi is keeping which documents stages in his hand-made production process.
Supposedly, the finished works are limited editions that are for sale (but all sold out…)

Great Link! Looks as he’s using real life projection master techniques. I hope he’s wearing a mask with that airbrush stuff…
