Nice material! Can you share?

^ditto please  Nice model, is it a rat skull? Happy holidays to you too!

This looks very good indeed. I’d love to see the full skull, not only cropped parts of it. Could you show these?

thanks!

thank you for your comments.

DAnconia: i think its one of the standard materials OR i downloaded it from pixo’s materials library… OK_ICE_FURNACE material.

cherub_rock: to be honest - i have no idea if it’s a rat skull… thanks for sharing this mat for me…

Erik Heyninck: this is everything i have so far, next model may have torso… i was just experimenting.

My only criticisms are that…

  1. You should probably pick a more passive shader. ( the sketch gummies and similar shaders are cool when you want a new perspective while you’re working, but they’re really not best for when you want to show other people what you’re working on)

  2. You should pull away from the sculpt a little bit, so everyone can tell what their position is relative to the model.

Both of these factors make it a little hard, for me anyway, to tell what I’m looking at.

It looks like it could have some potential. Like a dragon of some sort. But like I said It’s hard to tell.

I agree with the previous comments.

Also, I really like the direction the skull was taking, but (and maybe it is just camera angle) the creature with the muscle / flesh on it is loosing some of its “believable” qualities - even in fantasy there must be some level of believability of muscle / bone structure to get the viewer to buy it - at least as long as humans are the audience:).

Looking forward to seeing this intersting creature come ot life!

…great idea guys. i’m still learning zbrush, so for those creatures coming to life we’ll have to wait a moment…
thanks!

Nice work.
Can’t wait to see more.
And I love the material. Can you share or say where you found it ?

Keep it up.

hi…
thank you for you opinions - i appreciate it.

i think this is one of the default materials in zbrush: ok_ice_furnace - if not, i think i got it from pixologic’s library… for some reason i love it. dunno why…
