This is my first submission and Zbrush project. As of yet I’m still unfamiliar with many uses of Zbrush that might have aided me in the process of assembling this piece, but I’ll soon be putting that right.

Unfortunately the limitations imposed by 996MHz and 512 GB of RAM force me to take a break with this one for now. Hope you all enjoy.

Very clean looking. She’s kinda ripped compared to the ref pic though.

True, but intentionally so. I used this project as an anatomy study because I’ve been lacking in that department. She also has some definition showing the seratus muscles and the muscular separation of the back that’s hidden from view.

I don’t think a body with musles with that kind of character/face works. You should have went with your reference.

Inspite of all that it was the look I was going for. I suppose the character’s body composition might be jarring to some.

Well, I may not know a lot about the Zbrush program at this point but I do know a thing or too about sculpting. I know how difficult it can be sometimes to really get the sculpt up to snuff in comparison to the reference picture, and quite frankly from my point of view it’s nearly spot on. I understand what the others are saying about the contrast of the body and the face, but when you carry a gun that unrealistically massive, the girl is going to have to have a bit of muscle. Bravo for your first work.

Thank you very much.

Yeah, I didn’t foresee that the character’s musculature was going to be an issue. I wanted to use a bit of creative licence while brushing up on my anatomy.

That you’ve explained yourself in that you took licence with the ref pic is enough for me.
For a lot of people they are trying to get as close as possible to thier ref. You say you want to diverge…why not? Good for you! Keep going and post more as you have it!

I was going to put up another character, but it’s been buggered up and refuses to open, so here’s a hand instead. It took about 6 hours.

I would like if possible to change the name of this thread to something like Gumpshmee’s Works or something like that, but I can’t edit the first post.

So I decided to test two of Arran Lewis’ wonderful materials on my hand and I think they show it off much better than the wet clay material.

Here’s another for the collection that I did as part of the comic book character challenge. Though I’m not too pleased with how it’s turned out so far at least I learned my way around the retopo tool. Don’t know if I’ll be putting much more time in on this one as my 512 RAM is making it quite tedious as it is… I think I’ll probably stick to partial models at least until I can upgrade.

I probably would have done better had I used my own base mesh, but therein lies the challenge I suppose.
