Hi… I’m working on this female yoga pose, and i need some feedback from you guys, i’m not happy with it right now. don’t know if is the proportions or what but i’m not loving it. help
She looks like she would be in a lot of pain
I’d tone down the breasts a little. They’re a bit overpowering visually. You need to give us some more shots from different angles to really give feedback.
Hi Psicomantis, I can kinda see where you are going with this, but a few pointers… Look at anatomy books, there are problems all over with the proportions. The legs seem to just end at the bottom of the torso, the hips would ride up closer to the rib-cage. Also the rib-cage its self is too long (A mistake I always used to make before dedicating some time to anatomy and proportional studies.) I think the breasts are far too big for the frame that is supporting them and as a knock on the shoulders seem to expand outward and curl around the clavicle, which just does not happen. Onle last think I will point out is that the fingers look more like snakes or something. Definitely I would suggest taking some time to study some anatomy and proportion. Hope this helps.
Thank you very much guys.
C_J_E: yeah, that could hurt, thats why i only do yoga on zbrush.
Mogs: Thank you very much, thats exactly what i needed, ill start working on it and hopefully the next update will be much better.
Grizley: Really thank you for the reference.
Glad to help Psicomantis, Will keep an eye on the thread and see your progress, am looking forward to seeing it expanded to tell the truth.
Some updates considering your recommendations, worked the overall proportions, still some more to do before moving to the next subdiv level.
Thanks Again guys

Think of it in rational terms, the shoulders are drawn back so the skin on the front to the body would be stretched out, causing the breasts to be reduced by stretch, the skin is pulled into the shoulder blades. Another thing it the curvature of the ribs, no matter how a body can bend the ribcage is a static structure that won’t bend like the spine.
Just a couple more pointers that I hope are helpful, am working franticly on a sculpt myself that I was hoping to have out before Christmas but alas no joy.
Keep going at it anyway and keep looking at structure and anatomy
Again thank you very much Mogs, i really appreciate it
Alright, finally i’m feeling it, the ribcage was still too long and reduced the breasts a little also.
thanks again to you all for your help.

What you say makes sense.
But I’d also like to remind you that women come in all shapes and sizes, plenty of variety in this world.
But that doesn’t dramatically change the way our body re-shapes itself when we move. If you want he to have big boobs then that’s fine, but just realize that if they are that big when she is arching her back that much, then when shes in a normal pose her breasts would be gigantic. Even with a back arched half as much, the breasts stretch a lot because there isnt much in there holding breasts to their shape. If you want her to have unrealistically big breasts just say so! Nothing wrong with that.
a render test
C&C are welcome
Wow…what an exquisite and beautiful pose!
Thanks SolidSnakexxx
This pose is gorgeous! Congratulations! You did incredible work. You know this pose is very inspiring. I have a friend who is practicing yoga, I have to share it with her, maybe she can do it too. She tried to motivate me to start practicing it too. She even shared a blog about the om symbol meaning and how it can help us with its energy. I like the idea but still cannot motivate myself to start it. But your work really inspires and I guess that the time for yoga in my life has just arrived. Thanks for that!
