Written Tutorials and Lessons?

I am just starting to dip my feet in ZBrush, but running into some learning roadblocks. Most learning resources are in narrated video format, and due to disability I can’t process auditory information well at all. What I’m in search of are generalized tutorials and lessons that are written, or videos that have transcriptions I can read. Books are okay but are not my first choice as they get very pricey, for a lot of material I may not be interested in (my primary goal is modeling for 3D printing, not rigging or rendering). Can anyone point to some good resources?

Well, it’s sad to say, but tutorials have gone the way of most content in the age of You Tube, and it’s rare to find free tuts in written form. Books are going to be your best bet for detailed written content. Perhaps if you have a good library system.

There is always the written Zbrush Documentation . You Tube also has that auto close captioning function that isn’t 100% accurate, but may prove helpful.

There are some written tutorials in the Tutorials forums. , and there are one or two in the Pixologic Classroom page.

Thanks! I’m looking into books as well, but I want to make sure I make a well-informed choice before dropping the money. Plus, it’s just good to have a couple different points of view to learn from, since everyone works and teaches a bit differently.
