Wrapping cylinder completely with IMM curve brush (Rope)?

Hello everyone,

I have a IMM curve brush of rope. I want to completely wrap a cylinder shaped object with it. I saw video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xLZpwVCYxOE&feature=youtu.be) and at 10:03 in the video this guy completely wraps his cylinder with same kind of brush and he claims by holding Shift. I can’t seem to do this. When I try it, my rope bunches up and only on one small side of the cylinder. Is there a specific setting the curve strokes must have to do this?

How can I wrap my rope all the way around the cylinder in one stroke?

Thank you.

I found it.

Here it is for others.

Click (and don’t release yet) on your mesh to start drawing your curve, hold shift and drag off the edge of the mesh. Move the mouse to change the angle at which you wrap around the object. Release click to draw your curve!
