Woodsprite final render

Hi all,

Here’s a recent model of mine, modeled in zbrush from spheres to finished detail. Rendered in XSI, and the background trees and leaves were done in arbaro. I had some difficulty getting the finer bark details into xsi with normal and displacement maps, finally I used decimation master to just render out a high def model.

Now i’m off to play with 3.5 YAY!!!

Comments and crits welcome, and appreciated.

P.S Thanks to all the great zbrush users for the constant inspiration, and to pixologic for making my dreams come true!

I’m really digging this design - especially the double eyes. The horns out the back are neat - but seem like they would give the poor bugger trouble getting around in his arboreal habitat (getting stuck in the branches and such).

Cool neo-primative reikiesque tattoo.

Not crazy about the edge transitions of the bark as it moves around towards the front of the form. Maybe you need some sub-object bark pieces to break up the non organic lines.

Some fog or depth-of-field in the render to give it a more dreamy character?

Hi, Thanks for the awesome feedback!
I aggree with the bark transition, and the fog, and depth of field note.
Thanks once again for taking the time.
