Wireframe render through keyshot bridge

Hi,

I would like to render the uv map wireframe as a texturemap in keyshot …

This is what I tried :

1 - UV unrwraped in zbrush
2 - Made a document snapshot of the centered flattened map (2048x2048)
3 - Used the keyshot bridge, and modified the material / texture and chose the UV map coordinates.

This did not work … it seems like the bridge does NOT send over the UV coordinates / UV map.

Is there another way to get a QUAD wireframe render in keyshot without using another 3d package like 3DSMax or Maya?

Regards

When you send to Keyshot, your geometry needs to have a texture or polypaint applied, otherwise the UV’s won’t be recognized by Keyshot.

Thanks!

I will try that.

Does the flattened UV map texture from the document snapshot need to flipped in any direction also?

You don’t need to flip textures vertically if you are sending to Keyshot via the Bridge. But any textures you save out from ZBrush will need to be flipped V if you are importing them into Keyshot manually. Or, you can flip them in Keyshot instead if you like.

Hi,

Tried adding polypaint and that did not help.

Meaning …

  • The polypaint did transfer
  • But the UV Map is sent over in a untraditional way.
  • The Zbrush material in Keyshot is not set to UV coordinates

No good.

Anyone have a solution for this?
