Wireframe/polygroups view, export as texture map?

Hello,

i have a bit of a strange question, i was playing with some abstract forms last night in zbrush and i really liked the way it came out rendering the polygroup/wireframe view, my question is does anyone know if its possible and if so a method for baking it as a texture map so i can import the poly/wireframe material into another 3d program for hdri renders…

You may be able to do it but you’ll need to combine two texture maps. You can use Tool>Polypaint>Polypaint from Polygroup to polypaint your model based on the polygroups, then create a texture from the polypaint. For the wireframe, set the color to black in the color selector, turn on polyframes, and then press Tool>Texture Map>New from UV Check. This will produce a gray map but if polyframes are turned on they will be included, using the selected color. You should then be able to combine the two in Photoshop.

hey mate,

thanks alot for the reply, sounds like a workable method for sure, gonna test it out  thanks again!
