WIP-"2000ad-Judge Anderson" sculpt, inc' stages.

Hi there, first post on this great forum!

After about two + years of creating realistic characters for a soon-to-be-released game, I felt like going back and getting to grips with some of the features of ZBrush that I never had time to tackle.

This character, based on an old fan-art sketch I did, was created from the ground up in ZBrush, using 3Dmax only to fix a few things and create the more inorganic elements…its still very much a work-in-progress piece, that I’m still using a testbed to try stuff out on

I want to try and capture the look of a Randy Bowen/Tim Bruckner sculpt, something a bit quirky and a bit of fun
Still lots to do before its finished, when time allows. At the moment the thing I still want to work on is that hair, finding it hard to get the “swoop” that the sketch has.

This is seriously cool man

top row! I like your idea

how long did it take you to finish this character?

Cool! More 2000ad based models. My only crit is that it may work a little better if you tone down the line under the ribcage. Flatten it out a bit bit. Also, she looks quite angry. As far as I remember, Anderson was quite/relatively peaceful Judge.

Cool breakdown and great Zsphere mesh. Thanks for posting this.

Good Start fella and great subject matter just recently posted this

Nice. It’s a very cool character. I like the color.

Loooking Awsome man. Thanks for the in-depth info on how you made this model. Just learned the ‘make 3d’ button in the alpha palette… and it IS a “godsend” =P

Very nice work! I love all of the detail that went into this.

Thank you for showing your workflow. Would you mind showing a closeup of how you built the hand in zspheres? Did you divide the hand sphere at all? If you could show how you did that, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!
