This is my tribute to the begining of the CG era.
Model in Wings. Rendered in Max. Very simple scene, 20 min from starting model to final render.

Yes, more polys to give it that rouded look. This is a ~250 faces model. Very low poly. It wasn´t meant to be a post, I just started wondering about glow effects in Max and I started to model something in Wings that ended close to a lightcycle design. Max with it and almost everything is material effects. No postwork.
I was really small when Tron came out…so I think this CG thing is an all-life-addiction!

pretty kewl…Tron was the golden age for sure. Cheesy by today’s standards like the graphics in the movie Lawnmower Man…but still enjoyable. Thanks for stirring that great old memory…
8bit…the community forum is the place to post this type of work…and anything else that is not Zbrush…That is why we have so many different forums to click into here at zbc. Good question though.

I guess I opened a tiny box of memories but Ron pushed one out…the Lawnmower Man! Great graphics(for that time),specially the VR simulation of him and the girl, I remember how amazed I was when they started twirling with each other. And the priest in flames… :eek: And it´s a great story too.
I think Wings and Max can easily do that too…
