If I may offer some info.
Silo is a combination of a little Box (subdivision modeling) and a little point modeling. It is a great tool, like wings and both have their ability to export models for import into ZBrush. Glen Southern has experimented with silo models that has been further edited in ZBrush. I have imported a few wings models into zbrush for detailing as well…(though I am waiting for 2.0) So, its all on how you feel with the app. How the workflow suits you. ITs also if you consider your workflow to be easier with box modeling, piont modeling, or a little of both. I really like Silo for it does have certain abilities over wings. Unfortunately, Silo’d workflow isn’t too much to my liking…I am dabbling though. So, give them both a whirl…see what you prefer.
