Why would zbrush exit 3 secs into creating a displacement map

Hi Guys,
Why would zbrush to exit 3 secs into creating a displacement map and not create anything at all, everything at the default setting, latest installation?
Im exporting 32 bit, exr, 8k map, everything looks normal, just that it completes in 3 seconds, and produces nothing.
Its driving me mad, anybody help?
