I saw in one of the Zclassroom videos that Seth Thompson has all of the available brushes from lightbox in his brush palettes, but everytime I restart they go away. I’ve tried saving the startup file with all the lightbox brushes in the palette but it always gets reset.
Any brushes that you want to be permanently part of your interface should be moved from the \ZBrush 4R7\ZBrushes directories to the \ZBrush 4R7\ZStartup\BrushPresets folder. They cannot be nested in subfolders.
Remember, however, that no more than 20 of any given startup item should ever exist. So you don’t want more than 20 brushes to be in the BrushPresets. Nor do you want more than 20 materials in the ZStartup’s Materials folder. Any more than 20 overloads the palette and risks unexpected (and often unpleasant) interface behavior.
In other words, the ZStartup directory is meant for things you use constantly. Leave everything that you might need once in a while in the usual ZFolder and access it through LightBox.
