Why don't the Dynamesh make mesh over 3 512 165 points?

Hello!

I have some problem with Dynamesh.
I have two meshes (total 1.4mil points) from which i need to make one mesh.
The first mesh is body with legs (without feet) of character. The second is feet.
Feet is more detailed than body. And when i unite meshes with Dynamesh the fingers are glued together.
I try increase the resolution. But I can’t to get necessary result.
I am setting resolution equals 384. The fingers are glue together. Points count are 3 512 165.
If I setup resolution more than 384. The fingers are still glued together. And points count are unchangeably.

Why don’t the Dynamesh make mesh over 3 512 165 points? And How can i to get necessary result with the same details?

I use 4R8P1.

Thanks.

p.s. I’m sorry for the mistakes, if any.

Thanks. Now I see that Dynamesh has limit.
But can i union two meshes at one with same details? Or must i redraw feet with more lower resolution?

It actually is an issue with the scale of your mesh(s). If you increase their size they will allow for more resolution. But, I actually don’t recommend this.

It sounds like you need to actually do this instead.
a) Duplicate your mesh and then Zremesh the new meshes at a fairly low resolution. Keep forms, not details.
b) Merge these 2 new meshes together.
c) Close the gap between the two meshes using the bridge brush and smooth out the transition a little.
d) Zremesh this single closed mesh, again, worry about forms, not details.

Now you should have 3 total meshes, 1 low (new continuous mesh), and 2 high (independent highpoly sculpts).

e) SubD up the low mesh and do a project all. SubD up again, project all again. Repeat this until you’ve recaptured all of your details from the previous meshes.
f) Clean up any projection errors and smooth out the transition area from the 2 broken

Sidenote: storing a Morph Target and using the morphbrush to clean up projections between each subD level can sometimes be beneficial in helping to clean up all your projection areas.

Now I did so:
a) Duplicate the mesh.
b) With second mesh I used ZRemesher.
c) Then I am a little move big finger only.
d) I used Dynamesh for second mesh (Strange, but when i had walked this way I didn’t have glue other fingers together. if i didn’t move big finger, it was a little glued).
e) Then SubD and Project All (Big finger return on its place automatically).

But I’ll try your advise and will look at where quality is the best.

Thank you, very much.
