Why does this happen?

asfasfasfasfdasfasfasfa

The above happens whenever I sculpt and press right click or something and It keeps happening since I don’t know what hotkey makes that happen. And plus whenever I shortly right click a window that has a color pallet pop up. How do I disable the two?

Um, well, without better info I can only make wild guesses. One thing that could be happening is that if you’re working with what appear to be flat 2d meshes without any thickness with Dynamesh mode active, you could be inadvertently triggering the dynamesh by ctrl dragging a mask marquee in empty canvas. Dynamesh doesn’t work well with meshes that dont have any thickness, and will produce results like this.

Otherwise, I’m afraid we’ll need better info than that. Please post an uncropped screenshot of the active tool both before and after the behavior happens, and work a bit more mindfully so you can tell us exactly what you did when the behavior occurred.

This is the right click pop-up. It brings up a lot of useful quick access features wherever you’re working. You can disable it by going to Preferences > Interface > Navigation, and enabling both Right Click Navigation, and disabling the Right Click Popup. You must do both.

Be sure to store your config (Preferences > Config > Store Config) when making changes to the preferences if you want them to persist at startup.

Sorry about the haste. I was impatient there. So first of all I do not have flat 2d model. The mesh is fully 3d(actually a head) and there is no problem with dynamesh. The problem is whenever I combine left click and right click (or even a shift key, I’m not sure) the entire mesh other than the selected vicinity disappears and that happens. I can get out of that state by pressing any other key. Just try it by spamming right clicks while pressing shift and tapping with your stylus.

I’m sorry, I can’t re-produce this issue with your written description. I’m not sure why your process would involve spamming right clicks.

I did request further information which you have chosen not to provide. If you are unwilling to provide that kind of info publicly, I can only direct you to Pixologic Support. You will have to create a ticket and give them the information required to make sense of your issue.

I thought the info should suffice but never mind. Here you go.
The before one

And the after one.

The latest version is ZBrush 2020.1.1. You need to upgrade as older versions are not supported. Upgrades are free to registered users. Spyndel did ask you for an “uncropped” screenshot.

I thought the info should suffice but never mind. Here you go.

Hello. For starters, welcome to ZBC.

For future reference, the reason that full / uncropped screenshots are asked for here is because they can contain additional information that may have been inadvertently excluded by a cropped image. For example, a discrepancy between the Active and Total Points (between each other or between screenshots) would have been the very first things I would have personally wanted to check in order to rule out the most likely culprit. The type of Tool would have been another thing to check. Both things are missing in the original post and image, but are helpful for the process of trial and elimination.

In this case though, it does appear you’re using an out of date version of zbrush, as noted by Zber2. Even with the top bar cropped out (the version number is another thing people want to verify) there are several things missing on the UI (Gizmo, Live Booleans, Sculptris Pro Mode, etc) which would indicate you’re running 4R7 or earlier, and that would mean you’re at least 5 years behind on bug fixes and updates. This could be a reason why no one else is able to replicate the issue on the latest version, and is why older versions of zbrush aren’t generally supported for troubleshooting. If the problem is indeed an actual bug that has been fixed in newer releases, then using the newest release can be the only answer to your question.
