Why can't I.......

I know I’m very new to Brush but, I’d like to see an option to set 0,0,0 cords or even move the floor itself in relation to my object as well as ZB’s default of moving object to it’s original x,x,x position when using the Initialise options on primitives.

Why. . .

While using XMap 1 in the draw menu I loaded a ref image as a backdrop and drew a torus, using the deformation I rotated and positioned this just nice and then attempted to initialise and change some options only to have my object repositioned to ZB’s default location somewhere above the floor. :frowning:

So, is it possible to have some kind of this kind of option built in. ? like,

temporary 0,0,0 cords, or

leave the object in the place it was moved to and still manipulate it or

have a secondary floor aligned to the object simply for the purpose of using initialise

but, like I said, I’m new to ZB and someone may even know of how to do this.

In the draw palette, by default, Zbrush puts the floor at -1 (at the bottom of the lowest object in the scene).
You can change this to 0 to set it at object center (basically 0,0,0).

Using Deformation > Unify should snap to 0

For primitives (like the torus) you should probly not do any repositioning/deformation before making it a polymesh 3D
Once you’re happy with your initialization settings, make it polymesh, THEN you can unify, and use deformations to rotate, etc.

Thank you ,
