I am trying to position some insert meshes with their centers of the bottom of their bounding box exactly on a mesh vertex.
So in the example above one would expect the point of the cone to be right on the vertex after inserting it with the cursor on the vertex.
But I find that they are always a little off as in the pic.
Is there any way to get an insert brush to snap exactly to a vertex?
[ In examining this further I have noticed that the point at the center of the brush indicator snaps to a vertex, but then with the brush in that position ( snapped to a vertex) you can move the brush ( the cross hairs of the brush indicator and the brush indicator circles) off the actual vertex while the brush still stays snapped ( the point or dot at the center of the brush indicator stays on the vertex)
So basically after you snap a brush to a vertex its not actually locked on that vertex any slight movement of your mouse or pen before clicking to insert a mesh will affect the positioning. ]
Any Ideas on how to actually lock the insert brush on a vertex as you click to insert to avoid slight movement ?
Thanks
