Arrrr…what be the moderators moderatin’ when they’ve moderated your thread and there be no trace O’ moderatin’ to be seen? only the footprints of the tiny endangered pixologic moderator betray their previous visits.
???

That is one of the strangest posts I’ve ever read:lol:
Blaine91555, I was being facetious.
Trapdoor…thankyou for answering in Japanese.
I was refering to the fact that increasingly more posts have the “edited by moderator” line attached to their post.I was curious as to what they were ‘moderating’ when the some of the posts in question consist of only four or five words.
I had recently included five “thumbs up” icons in my post to indicate that I considered that piece of art to be worthy of five stars. Within a short time the five had turned to three…just wondered why…nothing sinister…honest…
Most moderator edits take place when a user has linked to images on other sites rather than uploading them to ZBC. We then need to edit the post so that the image is actually hosted on ZBC’s server. This way, the thread loads faster and is also protected from ever getting those “image not found” icons that would otherwise eventually crop up. (Most people don’t leave images hosted someplace forever. As soon as the hosting stops, the ZBC post containing that image would be ruined.)
So if you want fewer “Edited by Moderator” messages, get the word out to your friends to upload images to ZBC rather than linking them. That way, we don’t ahve to do it.
