Hi. I’m wrestling with figuring out polygroups, and the book makes mention of a lasso to make selections easier. I can’t find a Lasso button anywhere–where is it?
Thanks.

ctrl or ctrl+shift brings up a different type of brush. Lasso is held inside the stroke type now.
I’m sorry—I don’t know what that means. Brush Menu? Stroke Menu? I can’t find anything but the big clumsy Marquee. The big clumsy Marquee has a lasso icon IN it, but I can’t figure out how to activate it.
He’s referring to the palettes across the top of the interface, which are in alphabetical order. The Brush and Stroke palettes also have a large icon on the left side of the screen which, when clicked, opens a pop-up window with which you can choose a specific brush.
I strongly recommend reading the What’s New PDF. This is found in the ZBrush 4\Documentation folder and is searchable so that you can easily find what you’re looking for.

Thanks everyone! Sounds like the book I’m using is outdated already. No wonder it wasn’t making sense. Hi zber2!—that helps enormously, thanks very much!
Thanks for taking the time to put that demo together zber2-- really clear and helpful!
Going through some of the pdf material and had to find the lasso. Did a qiock search and voila! Nice, clear explanation friend. Thank you.
