Where can I see more on the new features in the Mac version?

Hi all.

Iv been trying to find some exsamples, screen shots and more info on the added features in the new mac version of ZB, where can I find this info?

I want to know if the better zoom works with topology, thats where my main problem is with topology tools. Id also like to know how well the Project all works compared to the PC version v3.1?

Thanks industripop and thanks Jason for doing this, I was hoping I would see more on the retopology zooming, apears to have been sorted, this means great things. Wonder if more than a 4 sided loop around fingers is still needed?

Thanks for the heads up aurick, I dont have a mac, but look forward to seeing these new fixes in the next release.

wanted to make sure you saw the follow up after the movie was released its on that same thread.

I tried doing a really hard topo item and moved the points after the fact only to find out that the points wont auto follow the mesh. It was because I was Zoomed in so far that it seemed to follow it in the video.

But the zooming is BY FAR one of the best new things.

Topo was by far one of my most used tricks in my workflow for 3.1 and when it was failing to work half the time, or not zooming correctly it really did make me give up for a little bit with Zbrush.

This new 3.12 really does make me want to pick it back up again :wink:

The snapping to mesh would have been nice.

I would imagine the finger thing should work now because you can place the topo allot better on the finger tip.

One of the biggest, if not the biggest features I was looking forward to in v3.0 where the Topology tools. While they worked to a certain degree, I couldnt rely on them to do a complete topology from head to toe, which also made me stick to my old methods of making a good base mesh with reasonable topology.

Problem areas where inner eye lids, inner nose,fingers and toes. I would be happy to pay for a update that had extras, but had all the topo tools refined with better (Project all) accuracy.

For anyone out there that knows how long it can take to build a character poly by poly, or even boxed modeling, having good topo tools is complete bliss.

Edge snapping would be a great feature as all then inner eyes and inner mouth edges would be easy to build new topology on.

Awesome… im looking forward to see if the Ambient occlusion mask can be generated to an arbitrary mesh… or the new normal map workflow. Or if Zbrush can use its own 32 bit maps now? haven’t had time to play.

Any news on this?

Just thinking the same thing. Was looking earlyer and cant find nothing. Im supriced how quiet its been to be honnest.

Is there documentation talking about the new smooth valleys, smooth peaks brushes… or using project all in lieu of zmapper?

Hi, Can I get an estimate when the help documentation will be up for the Mac OSX version 3.12? I still don’t have a clue as to what some of the new functionality the program has to offer, or the procedures neccessary on how to do it.

I also noticed that most of the zscripted tutorials built within the application are broken and don’t work all the way through. :frowning:

Any help, new info and status updates you can point me to is really appreciated.
