all z cept for the water and sig…doodling around with some of the materials and 3d planes…
Wow, I really really like that. It has a great sense of depth to it. Almost like your inside a vibrant cave. I love the overall texture of the piece, and the water like effect is magnificant.
my own hand.
Nice doodling Ron. It appears as if I have added a new word to the “Z” vocabulary.
Nice use of materials Ron. I like the structured cave appearence.
the depth make’s the ball = sphere appear to be floating in mid air above the water…
looks like you had fun with this image… great…
cool experimentation Ron.
Sorry for my point of view. But what the hell is that ? i mean, you used a brush here and a little bit material there. So what’s so special about it ? i actually even like the colors in this “compostion”. Sorry man…
aloto f what I do is experimentation…I only work in the demo version of this at the moment…and yer right there is nothing special about it i suppose…In this piece of “doodling” I was using texture and light…and if you see most of my stuff.there is normally water involved…it gives it a finished look is all…i called it when worlds collide just because at the end of the little exercise I gave myself I said hey, I like the colors and it kinda looked like planets to me…and it is abstract…to some degree, which is also something I know very little about, but via watching the real artists in here I learn to appreciate the form and color and textures used…I appreciate your criticism I guess to the degree that you took the time to comment about my doodling…but Zbrush Central is a place with alot of experimentation…and I will also tell ya that on my Renderosity gallery, I have noticed a trend via the viewing numbers that list that people go for form, color and flow…its not always about working hard on a piece…my most simple scrawlings seem to get the most comments as opposed to some of the stuff that I really really busted my hump over. But to answer your question, no there is nothing special about me or my work, since I view the work synonomously with whom I call Ron. They are one and th e same…thnx…cant wait to see your postings. This piece was not just brush stroke here and there either by the way…the back ground was a 3d plane with texture and materials, the layer behind it was a few strokes…somewhere in the neighbor hood of 3 brush types, six colors and one material…with the 3d plane I used the eraser tool to mottel out the holes to see the back layer…there is a thin layer of fog in the piece, and several trials with the materials on the spheres…just wanted to add that in so that you did realize there is more to it than meets the eye…I guess you caught me a bit off guard also with the use of the word hell in your posting…and actually as I played, the thought of hell was in my mind with the piece…
Kind Regards,
Ron Harris
neomecha he said he was (doodling) and were i come from that can be the same term as messing around.
he was messing around with some with some of the materials and 3d planes.
you said and what is that?
well it can be anything you like because it has a abstract look to it.
Great reply Ron
What is so special about it? The most special thing about art is the soul and creative thought. To actually see something that did not exist before, something that creates thought in another person’s brain, something that gives shape to that which is shapeless and timeless. The infinite ability to create in this universe something that will never be again. To me that is art, to me that is this image and every image that has ever passed behind these eyelids.
Great doodle Ron!! It really does look like “worlds colliding” Again great job. Love the colors and the awesome background.
golly, thnx for the kind words…making me get all blushy and stuff…yall teach me so much everyday…thnx again
Hey CatfishMan, I just wanted to thank you for explaining the ‘eraser’ thing you did…
I’ve been trying to figure out that part, and I appreciate you walking us through it a bit!
Keep experimenting, Dude!!
yeah that idea came to me a while back while I was doing the one called he who walks under the rows I think was the name…I did it with the eraser and snake hook brush back then I believe…but I thought this time I would do that again to some degree…it was like when I was a boy in school and we would scribble with crayons and make the paper solid with different splashes of color and then go over the whole image with a black or dark blue crayon till the image was just covered in the one color…then you took something like a sharpened popcicle stick or something along those lines…maybe it was the points on scissors…but anyways we would scrape back the top layer and draw with the scraping…and it produced a picture as you drew/scratched along and the coloring would be what ever was under the black coating of crayons…same principle here…and when you run the eraser brush over it, or at least when I did, it gave a black line around the hole, kinda eroded looking…then I would just brush the background layer a bit to give the illusion of something more in the back…I think I explained this right…two hours of sleep and I aint thinking very clearly…lol…Zbrush has that affect on me these days… I mena it was no biggy to do, but I like the effect it gives…looks real kewl with the metalic materials too…used it on the happy zbrush xmas and on the mermaid background as well…thnx for noticing…
