when will Keyshot pro 8 be available for zbrush?

I am very excited about the new Keyshot 8 features and would like to upgrade from Keyshot Pro 7 to 8 for Zbrush. Hopefully this will happen soon - I don’t yet see any info posted about it on Pixologic’s site. One question I have - is I see where Keyshot will now allow import of Open VDB files. But as far as I know - there isn’t a way to import them into Zbrush - so I wouldn’t likely be able to get it into Keyshot for Zbrush - unless they allow that somehow. Curious if anyone knows more or any info about when KS 8 will be available for Zbrush. Thanks

Thanks!

Thanks! also hope that info will be available soon about if Zbrush Keyshot will support open VDB files or not…

Apparently yes – I haven’t been able to try it yet, but from what I understand you can use VDBs as a material property. I’m hoping to take advantage as well.

I just got the upgrade to Keyshot Pro 8 but haven’t yet had time to try importing an openVDB file. I asked about that before because I was thinking may this wouldn’t work with the Zbrush version of Keyshot - due to filetype restrictions - but as they are seeing it as a material type and not geometry -I’m thinking it won’t be a problem. What I’m hoping I can do is to make vdb files in other 3D programs (perhaps Houdini apprentice) and then import that into Keyshot - however there are various versions of openVDB and I know very little about it currently. But it seems that it would have a great potential visually.
