What’s the best renderer of the world ?
I don’t need animation.
I just want to make hyperréalistic pictures.
Wow, that is a great article. abcd1234, I’d go back and read it with a great deal more care- it answers your question fully. If you managed to read through that article and missed the many times the guy answered your question, I’d be more concerned with learning the fundamentals of rendering, than trying to find the supposedly ‘best’ renderer in the world.
It doesn’t matter is you found the fastest car in the world. If you didn’t know how to drive it, the fastest car in the world would be the slowest.
Great article. Alot to digest. I’ve seen alot of great still renders done in Brazil and Vray. The article didn’t test Vray and Brazil is only available for 3D Studio Max.
Great Article. After reading it I’d say that Softimage 4.2 Foundation which includes Mental Ray is a hell of a deal for the price below 500$…
Besides that, there is one kind of renderer which is ‘the best’. Physically correct rendering. Renderings created with Maxwell are stunning. Excellent renderer when you can let your PC run a week… Absolutely useless for komplex animation but stunning for stills!
