What should I do ? I think i'm good enough at drawing, but...

Hello guys,

I’m new here.
I want to start sculpting in zBrush. I’m not new at 3D Modeling (i learned Maya, 3DS max, blender). I learn since 10 years ago how to draw “Manga” way. And of course, learned anatomy and drawing even if i need to still get better.

But i found these last years drawing comics and manga boring for me. So I need to start something New. Like making Digital sculpting. This can be really great to give a life to my characters…

I started to learn zBrush interface, but… Just got stuck at the sculpting process. I know exactly what i wanna sculpt, but dont know HOW to sculpt it. I know what are the brush and their purpose in sculpting, but just CAN’T do what i want to do with…

Do you guys, have some advice of what should I do ?
A learning path to recommand me ?

I found I don’t have the great process. Like : Starting from simplistic shapes, and adding details after… I must sculpt lot of things for acquire the great process…

Do you have some challenges for starting modeling “slowly” but “surely” ?
Do you know a book or something that can help me to know the process of sculpting with zbrush ?

It depends how you like to learn.

I used books. Go to Amazon and search ZBrush, there are a lot of them.

However, theres tons of stuff on Youtube, or you could get a commercial tutorial.

Start slowly, trying to make simple things, and it will all fall into place.
