What is your workflow for posing/rigging characters?

So, I have been using Zbrush and I’m at the point of giving it pose, gesture and facial expressions.

So far, I know this workflow to pose characters :

1 - Finish a clean, multiple division level and detailed enough character/ base mesh
2 - Use the Transpose master to pose it/Use zsphere rig
3 - Transfer the pose to the final posed model
4 - Do some modifications, if needed

Do you guys use something else? Would it be a good idea to use something other than Zbrush to pose/rig a model?

Your answers could help a novice 3D artist greatly!

all depends on what you want to do with it.

If all you want to do is make pretty pictures Zbrush works great.
If you want to make a lot of pretty pictures with a lot of different poses in really complex ways you might want to look in to a traditional 3d package that supports bones.

I was thinking about using Autodesk’s Maya for it.

What do you think? Or is there any other better for posing and rigging?

Oh and one last thing :

Could you guys recommend me some tutorial to cover that sort of workflow?
