I am pretty new to Z brush, and I’ve been following some tutorials. When using Z spheres, and then clicking adaptive skin, my mesh turns out really wonky and doesn’t look the same as the meshes in the tutorials I watch. I’m using Zbrush 2023 and also classic adaptive skinning is turned off so I don’t know what is going on or if it is it’s a bug. Here’s some photos if anyone can help me out.
Hello Jonnycole
I’m not to sure what the result your looking for from the tutorial you watched is, might be helpful to see a screen shot of it.
As for Adaptive Skin previews for zspheres , a while back they added a dyna mesh feature to it that is active by default that is set to 256. It might be what you want but, I always set it to 0 so I get a mesh with subdivisions, the density brush will add will subdivide the mesh, then when I hit adaptive skin and get a low rez mesh I can work with.
Not sure it that helps, just my best guess as to the settings you could play around with to see if you can get the look your going for, if Dyna mesh is what your going for you could try turning the slider up or down to.
