The problem with quicksave is that if you are working on a really heavy model and it starts to save the whole program freezes while saving and totally destroys your workflow. If you have it turned off you forget to save and ending up trashing your whole office in rage. Why can’t the pixologic team add a question that pops up with a “do you wan’t to save?” message. Then you can decide to say no and save a few minutes later when your ready to take a little brake.
This isn’t the worst part, the worst part is when it decides to wipe the entire quicksave folder without a single warning…
It happened to me several times, and I lost a lot of projects forever…

That sound bad indeed. I have ripped apart too many shirts because of quicksave. Something must be done.

the problem with the freezing most likely comes from saving the undo history. that tends to get very large, especially if there are a number of ztools.
you can go into preferences>undo history…and uncheck “enable saving”. also in preferences>quicksave…you can check “skip history”.
quicksave will speed up greatly and hardly be any bother.
also saving undo history can cause the file to be so big that if you need to load it, it could fail.
