WARNING!! (not zbrush related at all)

OK… I just wanted to vent my frustration somewhere and you all dont know me yet soo… what better place? Ok…

I just printed a 6x16 foot color banner on UV protected vinyl… weeeee… So I needed to trim an inch off one side… Ok… So I used a big T-square to make sure the line was straight… seems like a good idea huh? but no… some genius of t-square engineering decided to paint the big wooden T part black… ok ok, it looks cooler like that i admit… but it left big black streaks on the print… that dont come off… the pricing is 15$ a square foot… you do the math… so here it is… 4:15am… and its just done ripping… which means its another 3 hours till its finished printing… I was only suposed to be at work from 6pm -> 10pm… but guess what… it turned out to be a little closer to 6pm -> 8am or so… and I have to be back in at about 11am… to do another 12 hour shift… I would just like to urge, no, demand… that if any of you make T-squares for a living DONT paint the stupid thing black!!! please!!! hehe… ok… i am gonna go kick the machine a few times… its proven to make it print faster…

Master of no sleep (someone stole out f’ing coffie machine!!)

Inductive

i feel for you man… i really do… but just rem from now on look at your tools before you use them to make sure this doesnt happen again…lol

It’s a conspiracy.

THE BAST($#DS!!!

I can make a phone call. I have family…ya know. We can hunt down the guy wit da black paint and makehim pay. :b4:

Let me know, we can fix da problem.

my 2 cents…I used to do screen printing for a living years ago…it was a family business…and sh*t happens…its a “learning curve” I can’t tell you the times I screwed up metal blanks for signs, mylar for decals, or cut a three or four color run of decals the wrong size…or a job where when I finished realized that there was some letter in the whole run the just didnt pass QC coz it was fuzzy or something…so…after having my dad smack me around for each of my screw ups I grew some “callouses” and some foresite…My advice is to take some thin black felt and apply it to the back of the t square…I feel your pain…but if you knew how many gallons of paint thinners and namptha that I have had to use to correct my screw ups we could both enter therapy together  Price magnet rolls of materials…well I know that didnt help you much but hey I got it offa mychest after all these years too

The worst was when I used to work at a printing press and I dropped a pallet (a BIG pallet, like 60,000 sheets) of 20x40 coated 2 sided cover stock… That was bad… but then i had to right the pallet… which got me 3 hours of overtime (hehe) and the begining of a realy bad back (I lasted like a week after that… now I cant lift over 25 lbs possibly for life… I just turned 20) my point? none… but when i screw up, at least i dont screw around

Well, if yer gonna do sumpthin, ya might’s well do it right.

Sorry to hear about that “fun” you had. I agree with Kathy. They need to pay. But the only “family” she’s likely to have connections with are the kind that would say that black paint just wasn’t appealing enough and go for something more “festive”. Like rainbow! LMAO
