Wall Too THin

I make models in Zbrush for 3D printing, fixing mesh integrity as I go. Analysis shows everything is fine. Then I use Meshmixer to hollow out the model for printing, offsetting 1-3mm. All seems OK but the models are often sent back for being too thin. Cant figure out why. Start from scratch being as careful as I can but it still happens. How to prevent or fix it?

Hi @HotHogWilson

If you can’t figure it out from the actual file it’s unlikely we’ll be able to assist with only this description of the issue.

However, this is some sort of issue between your slicer and printer. It may be that the volume is not watertight and being read as an open 2D volume. It may also be that the wall is too thin to be captured by the physical limitations of the process or your slicer settings.

Off the top of my head my only available suggestion is to take the message at face value and increase the thickness of the wall.
