Wacom or mouse ?

Hi,I was wondering if the artist in this forum, make their models with the mouse ? I mean,I really have a hard time making details with it,and is it even possible to have something like this with only the mouse,if you’re PRO ?

Thx for your replies

Most people who have tablets swear by them.

You CAN get the same results from a mouse or a tablet (although the tablet often feels more natural). There is one notable exception, though: the better tablets have pen pressure sensitivity. ZBrush can make use of that pressure in a variety of ways to achieve effects that are impossible with a mouse (which is either clicked or not-clicked without any variations in between).

Yeah,I was thinking about that …well I have a mouse,so I draw, and then soften some parts …but its not really great at the end

Anyway,I’ll get my tablet soon ,so I was just wondering :stuck_out_tongue:

I bought one just for z-brush the only app i know which just needs a tablet

I wanna buy a A5 format (I’m from belgium,so thats like,half normal paper)

Thats enough right ? it aint to small I hope

Dxs…i just got my Wacom graphire A5 and i like its size,…if it was bigger i think it would be more clumsy to work with !

jantim

I use a wacom tablet myself.
I think for most of the work it doesn’t matter but I just figured out how to use projection master (sort of) and I find it allot easier to paint with a pen than a mouse.

That’s my side of it.

You can use a mouse without any problem, but a tablet will make life a bit easier. A tablet takes a little time to get used to, but this is because of the fact, you maybe tuned into using a mouse, rather than the tablet is hard to use. I have an A5 and it works fine and I prefer the smaller size because it takes up less room.

Hello

I have A4 oversize wacom, older model, been using wacoms for 6 years. I cannot understand any digital artist being without one!!! And atleast in this case bigger is better! I use max with my mouse, but ZB is a lot more like the painter, and you cant even understand its capabilities without a pressure sensitive pen.

They dont even cost much these days so everyone in the forums, grab one! =)

Well, finally,I’ll get an Intuos 3 A4 for free:lol: (actually its for a poster I made)

So I guess I’m gonna be pretty happy
