wacom Intuos 4 issue with ZBrush 4R7 trial

Hi all, I’ve just joined the forum and am currently using the trial version until next week when I plan to license 4R8. I have an issue though with my Wacom tablet. In all other programs it works as it should but in 4R7 it will move across the page, pressure sensitivity works but it will not access the main menu along the top of the screen. I cannot for instance click the About tab or change page size from full screen etc. It doesn’t seem to be an issue I can find an answer for. I’m running it on a 2017 iMac 3.8 i5 5k 27" with 10.12.5 Sierra. Any help would be great as i’m at the point where I’m about to license the software and I need my tablet fully functional.

Hey Ben,

I had this same issue and contacted support about it just a couple days ago. It’s actually a wacom driver issue, though I haven’t noticed it in any apps other than ZBrush. Roll back to an earlier wacom driver (one from 2016 if possible), and the issue will be fixed.

On the topic of Sierra and ZBrush… are you getting any screen tearing while working in ZBrush? I’m getting some pretty nasty horizontal tearing when orbiting or panning my view.

Hi, thanks so much for your reply. I’ve looked on Wacom’s site for an older driver but there are only two listed for my tablet. I’ve tried both with the same result. There’s nothing older that says it works with my tablet. Which tablet do you have incidentally?
I’m really new to ZBrush so cannot answer your other questions yet I’m afraid. Ben
