Wacom BT slow viewport navigation but no problem sculpting

When i am connected through Bluetooth and a bit zoomed in on a high-poly model, the navigation is extremely slow and laggy.
Switching to the mouse or connecting the tablet by cable gives smooth normal navigation.

At first i thought it’s a hardware issue and i should ask Wacom but the strange thing is that when i do sculpting there is absolutely no lag while using Bluetooth, it’s just viewport navigation that gets horrible.

This tells me that all the information the tablet is sending is being received just fine so it’s not a connection issue but a software issue?

(Using the “Wacom Intuos Pro” - latest update)

Hello @Silverflow

Performance can slow down a bit when zoomed close in. I’ve found this has to do with the real time shadows. If you disable them in the Render> Render Properties menu, it usually improves performance.

However, if you’re saying that simply switching to a mouse or another tablet alleviates the issue, then there’s probably some sort of technical or compatibility issue with the hardware, and you’ll need to contact Support for issues of this nature.

@Spyndel Thank you for the very fast reply!

Disabling shadows does seem to improve the speed quite a lot but it is still a lot slower then it should be.
This does not explain why it slows down so much only while using Bluetooth thou, that does not make sense to me at all.
I will follow your advice and contact support about this.

Thanks again!
