First, I’m a total newbie at ZBrush, so forgive the basic question. And if this isn’t the correct forum, I apologize, and would appreciate any ideas on some place that would be more appropriate.
Second, I look around here in awe. There are some amazingly talented people posting examples. Humbling doesn’t begin to describe it.
Here’s my question: I’m trying to figure out how to create a folded “ribbon”. Something like this:
Seems like it should be simple, and I was delighted when I found curve brushes. Thought that would make quick work of this.
But I can not get the folds to operate correctly. I’ve played around with the various “Brush” and “Curve” stroke settings for days, and no matter what I try, ZBrush seems to want to put a twist in the ribbon. Essentially, it insists on keeping side “A” facing up.
So my question is: Am I going about this correctly? Should I be using a curve for this? If so, can anyone give me some guidance on the specific settings I need to achieve this result?
Any help would be most appreciated, and again apologies for such a basic question among such masters.
