The figure evolves from a young soldier to a veteran, modeled after my grandfather, clad in faded gray military attire, worn straw sandals, and a leather belt. His posture and steadfast gaze into the distance silently convey the conviction and strength of the revolutionary era. Through a somber palette dominated by gray and yellow hues, the composition eliminates superfluous details to accentuate historical gravitas, paying homage to the ideals and sacrifices that defined those tumultuous years. The latter three works employ a contemporary collage-poster style, juxtaposed with the veteran’s image to create a sense of pop art, bridging past and present through visual dialogue.
